Education on a global level takes area teens to Europe – hear their report Saturday, May 3, 10:30 a.m. at Bookworks.

Under the auspices of The New Mexico Human Rights Projects, the high school students participated in the Model International Criminal Court Mock Trials in Krzyzowa,Poland.

Working in international teams, the students took on the roles of judges, persecutors, defenders, and observing journalists in historic war crime cases. Guidance and training were provided by attorneys and journalists with expertise in international relations.

Bookworks is honored to provide a venue for the students to share with the community some of the insights they gained during this intense, insightful, and international journey into war crime history.
