    In August 2010, NMHRP executive director, Regina Turner was proud to be a recipient of the New Mexico Humanitarian Award. The award recognizes those whose efforts serve to raise awareness of the spirit of humanity and to inspire individuals, organizations, and businesses to pursue humanitarian goals.

    New Mexico Human Rights Projects (NMHRP) is the only non-profit organization in the state providing unique, hands-on programs that engage students intellectually and emotionally to think about the choices they make when confronted with prejudice, racism, violence and discrimination. NMHRP seeks to challenge our most basic understanding of human nature and encourage youth to be more respectful, compassionate and empathic human beings.
